DONNELLSON - Scoring and statistics were reported for Central Lee High School's 66-58 loss to Danville this past Tuesday night.

Brad Vogel led the Hawks with 23 points and six steals. He also had two assists. Kyle Krauter and Andrew Mathison scored 10 points each. Mathison grabbed 15 rebounds and made two steals. Krauter had six rebounds and three assists. Lance Kramer added seven points, Brandon Pezley six and Dalton Bryant two.

"I'm proud of our kids and their effort," Central coach Clay Vass said.

After falling behind by 14 points earlier in the game, Central managed to get within four in the final quarter. With only two fouls committed though, Central had to make a few fouls to get them to the line.

"I felt we could have done a better job of executing with the basketball," Vass said. "Credit Danville. They made the plays down the stretch to make it a six- to eight-point ball game."

Central is home to Harmony tonight and then travels to Holy Trinity next Tuesday for a Coaches vs. Cancer game.

"We've still got a lot of season left," Vass said.
